Dear Taholah Community,
It is an honor and a pleasure to have been selected to serve as the Superintendent of the Taholah School District. I am excited to begin this journey and to have the opportunity to get to know the community better, as well as to build and cultivate relationships with each of you. As I embark on my twenty-fifth year in education, I reflect on my career path that began as a second-grade teacher in Delton, Michigan. I later transitioned to Spring, Texas, just outside of Houston, where I taught sixth-grade English language arts.
Throughout my career, I have also held roles as an Assistant Principal in both elementary and high school settings. Most recently, I had the privilege of serving as the Superintendent of the Delton Kellogg School District. My wife, Marsha, and I are proud parents to three children: Antonio, Arianna, and Herman III.
I believe in the importance of being visible and actively engaging with the community. I am eager to immerse myself in the Taholah School District, learning about its unique characteristics and working together with all stakeholders to achieve our shared goals. Our mission and vision will serve as the foundation for our daily efforts as we strive to provide our students with the best possible education, empowering them to succeed in their chosen career paths.
Sincerely,
Dr. Herman J. Lartigue, Jr.
Superintendent
Taholah School District
